Vords of Visdom
Tonight, Gani and I had an impromptu “arty farty” experience. We decided to watch “Dim Sum Dollies’ Little Shop of Horrors along with Michell and Sharynn. Dawn and her friend were there too.

Here’s what’s written about it from SISTIC website:
The Dim Sum Dollies® star in their VERY FIRST off-broadway hit musical, written by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, the academy award-winning pair who brought you Disney’s musical hits, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin! A blood-thirsty mutant evil orchid threatens to seduce our souls and take over the world! Nerdy florist Seymour (Hossan Leong) and his ditzy girlfriend Audrey (Denise Tan) prepare to fight this battle between good and evil with a little help from our kay-poh-chee story-tellers (Dim Sum Dollies). Directed by Glen Goei. Also starring Lim Yu-Beng and Dave “Electrico” Tan as the voice of the evil orchid! An all-time favourite musical given a local Dim Sum twist for the whole family!
The Dim Sum Dollies had done a few shows before but Gani and I only managed to catch this one. I wasn’t overly impress with the supporting casts – read MALE Casts except for Dave Tan- the lead singer of Electrico, he was GREAT as the evil orchid. I know the “other” male casts can carry a tune but I didn’t really get the “feeling” comin from their singing, it just sounds like a routine. Or is it plainly that they cannot really sing?:d But I didn’t heart it for sure! But Denise Tan and the Dim Sum Dollies – Serena Tan, Pam Oei and Emma Yong were terrific singers and the Dim Sum Dollies were HILARIOUS! I don’t really like the story though, some of my friends who caught their previous original sketches and who had watched the Little Shop of Horrors, think that their original sketches are Funnier.

I took some night pictures using my Nokia N73 – I’ve had it since late last month and been blogging the pictures that I’ve took using the camera ever since. Not bad, of course it’s not as good as a digital camera, but it suffice the purpose of my blogging. It has 3.2 megapixels resolution, I still have to do a lil’ bit of color correction using Photoshop, but it’s very minimum. Just click on the thumbnails below to take a look at the pics.
